The first trailer didn't feature Synergy at all, but now we'll have to wait and see how hardcore fans react to this departure from the original series. The trailer that debuted last week featured scenes where Jerrica ( Aubrey Peeples) is told by her dad that he is working on something, which he'll show her when she's older, which turns out to be Synergy. That is certainly not the case here, with Synergy portrayed as a cute little robot. In the original show, which ran from 1985 to 1989, Synergy was a computer that projected holograms, and gave Jerrica her "Jem" alter-ego and protected her true identity. Synergy represents one of the biggest changes from the animated TV series to the movie. If you still find yourself in need of a Jem fix, then you're in luck, because today the studio put out a music video, set to the band's song "Youngblood." The video does feature plenty of new footage that we didn't see in the trailer, including another look at the pint-sized robot named Synergy.
